Fast Action Poker - Game Rules

The game requires 3-8 players.

  1. All players place an ante and a bet.
  2. At the beginning of the first hand of play, the dealer button is placed randomly in front of one of the seated players. In each subsequent hand, the dealer button will rotate one seat to the left in clockwise order.
  3. All players are dealt a two-card Poker hand.
  4. A three-card community flop is immediately placed in the table center. These cards are shown without players having a make or call a bet first.
  5. At this point, all players have the option to place one additional bet in clockwise rotational order, starting with the hand to the left of the dealer button.
  6. All players place their cards next to their bet.
  7. Players never fold in Fast Action Poker. They are always eligible for the Jackpot.
  8. The House then turns up two additional community cards (4th and 5th aka The River Card).
  9. All hands that made optional bets are opened at this time. The best five card hand wins the antes and the optional bets.
  10. If there were no optional bets made, the player with the dealer button wins the antes.
  11. Phase Two: The Fast Action now begins. The action hand is determined by using the numerical value of the River Card (5th Community Card). The card must relate to a seated player. For example, it the River Card is a 5 of Hearts, Player #5 would have the action button. If the River card is a 9 through King, the 4th card is then used to determine the action hand. If the 4th card does not represent a seated player, the 3rd card, and so on, is checked to see if it relates to a seated player. If none of the five cards relates to a seated player, the dealer then turns cards one by one from the remaining cards in the deck until a card that relates to a seated player is revealed, thus determining the Action Hand.
  12. The Action Hand is compared to every player to the left in a clockwise rotation.
  13. Each player that the Action Hand beats wins a bet from that player.
  14. If there is a tie, the bet is a push and the current action player continues as the Action Hand and continues to compare their hand to the players to the left (in clockwise rotation) until beaten by a better hand.
  15. Once beaten by a better hand, the Action Hand loses one bet to that player and is finished.
  16. The new winning hand becomes the new Action Hand. Players win bet after bet until beaten by a better hand.
